Tiny Toes
Our studio would be proud to create your baby’s first portrait for you. You will receive from our studio the skill and artistry that only a professional photographer can give you.
It’s in the first two weeks that we capture those bendable, cute, amazing, “How did you do that Portraits”! Those first 2 weeks they bend and sleep.
It’s that deep “milk sleep” and soft muscles that allows us to bend, prop and make stunning fun portraits.
Call before your delivery date so we can make sure your pictures happen in a timely fashion.
Congratulations and welcome little one!
Allow up to 2 hours for the baby's portrait session. Have your baby ready in just a diaper or if you prefer a special outfit for the portrait, please dress the baby ahead of your appointment time. You will select your favorite image(s) from our online proofing gallery when we meet at our proofing meeting scheduled after your session. So please make sure that all decision makers are ready to enjoy your baby's first studio portraits with you.
Payment is due at time of your consultation meeting here at the studio. Allow 2-4 weeks for delivery. Sales tax and shipping are not included in our collections.
Pose: On tummy, back, side or in parent’s arms
Finish: Color, Black & White or Sepia
Facial retouching is included on all portrait print packages at no additional cost
Children’s portraiture is also available and by appointment only
Tips & Tricks of Newborns
Schedule your session early. Start planning your baby's newborn photos within the first two weeks of arrival.
It’s best to work around your baby's schedule like their nap time and feeding routine. It is best to feel your baby just before you leave home. This will allow their little tummies to settle and reduce spitting up and fussiness.
Fussy babies can be challenging at any time. Don’t forget essential items to comfort them including a favorite blanket, pacifier, toy, diapers, wipes and anything necessary for feedings.
Parents, be prepared to be photographed with your baby! If not, you will regret not being a part of this journey.
Being able to capture that precious touch by holding your baby’s hand, feet or head will be a great way to begin your photo journey that will last a lifetime.
Capturing your baby’s milestone photos will be a big part of their journey that you won’t want to miss!
The most common dates on their journey of portraits: Two weeks, 3 months, Six months, nine months, and first Birthday. Then we move on to 5, 13, 16, 18 & 21 Years of age.
We can also create your baby announcements. On the day of your session we will ask you if you are interred and show you templates to choose from.
Clothing: Plan to bring your favorite outfits for your baby to wear along with our favorite props.
Simple is better. Your newborn will look adorable with little or no clothing. Consider items such as a baby onesie, a diaper, or a swaddle blanket. These are usually sufficient.
With a beanie or stocking cap, this will help soften their face.
Newborn clothes, if too big for them, will make your baby look lost and messy and can get bunched up.
Choose light-colored clothing. White or pastels bring out your baby’s sweet complexion.
Avoid mittens, socks on your baby’s hands and feet. They can leave elastic marks on tiny wrists and ankles.
Attach their diaper loosely to avoid lines around the baby’s waist. Always bring a spare outfit for emergencies.
Most important: Bring a cherished item like a favorite toy or a framed picture of a deceased family member if you would like to include it in your baby’s portrait.
